I Will Not Leave Atletico Madrid. -Diego Simeone

Diego Simeone has committed his future to Atletico Madrid in the wake of more rumours about a possible departure from the Vicente Calderon.
Under the guidance of Simeone, Atletico have challenged the duopoly of Real Madrid and Barcelona in La Liga, winning the title in 2013-14, as well as reaching two Champions League finals, where they lost each time to their arch-rivals from the Bernabeu.

Having secured top-three finishes in each of the past four seasons, Atletico are languishing in sixth this time around, already nine points off the pace of Zinedine Zidane's table-toppers.
Simeone is contracted with Atletico until the end of next season, but he has been strongly linked with a return to former club Inter - rumours his son, Genoa striker Giovanni, has fuelled by saying his father could join him in Serie A.

Atletico CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin said this week he was confident Simeone would honour his deal, and speaking after Friday's friendly win over Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, the coach backed up that claim.
'Simeone deserves a statue'
"I will not leave Atletico," he was quoted as saying

Willian stars in New Year's thriller

Willian's second-half brace proved decisive as Chelsea twice gave up the lead before eventually seeing off a spirited Stoke City 4-2 in the Premier League on Saturday.
Antonio Conte's team deservedly led through Gary Cahill's first-half header, only for Bruno Martins Indi to steer home a scrambled equaliser soon after the break at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea quickly regained their advantage, Willian benefitting from some great build-up play to make it 2-1 shortly before the hour mark.

Peter Crouch then struck from close range to get it back to 2-2 but the Premier League title favourites refused to give up, Brazil international Willian the man on target again soon afterwards.
Diego Costa, back in the team after serving a one-match ban, then grabbed a late fourth to put the result beyond doubt.

The win saw Chelsea move nine points clear at the top ahead of Liverpool's clash with Manchester City in Saturday's late kick-off, while Stoke continue to languish in the bottom half.
Conte's men also equalled Arsenal's 2001-02 record for consecutive wins in a single Premier League season, having now notched 13 straight victories under the former Juventus and Italy boss.

Azealia Banks Cleans Blood-Stained Room She's Used to Practice Witchcraft for 3 Years

The 25-year-old rapper posted a series of disturbing videos to Instagram on Friday, where she admitted to practicing “three years worth of brujería” (the Spanish word for witchcraft) before beginning to clean the room she’s been using for the apparent animal sacrifices.
Panning the camera around what looks to be a closet in Banks’ apartment, the room is a troubling sight to see. Its walls are covered with what appeared to be hardened stains of blood — while a mix of feathers and a black substance cover the room’s wood-floors. It also looks like at least two dead chickens can be seen on the floor.

“The amount of crap that’s about to come off my floor right now guys? Oh my God,” she explains in the video. “You know I got to scrape all this s— up. I’ve got my sandblaster, and my goggles — it’s about to go down.”
“Real witches do real things,” she added.

It’s not clear why Banks has reportedly sacrificed animals over the past three years.
“People are rightly horrified to learn that Azealia Banks reportedly has been slaughtering chickens in her closet for three years, and that she is apparently so out of touch with public sentiment that she bragged about it on social media,” PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange said in a statement exclusive to PEOPLE. “We also hope that Banks’ closet clean-up is a sign that she is planning to clean up her act, become a good witch, and stop the cruel and gruesome sacrifice of frightened animals.”

Multiple People Shot, 2 Killed In Chaotic Scene Outside Meek Mill Concert

Two people were killed and two more injured on Friday night when shots rang out at a Connecticut concert for rapper Meek Mill, according to multiple reports.
Wallingford police said the concert at Oakdale Theater was coming to a close when shots were fired outside the venue, according to ABC News. Two men were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police responded to a call of a victim with a leg wound at around 11:15 p.m., Lt. Cheryl Bradley said during a Friday news conference.

During the news conference, Bradley described the scene as “chaotic” and noted that police are looking into vehicles that “may or may not” have been involved in the shooting.
Bradley said that no one was in custody early Saturday morning, according to The Record-Journal. She gave no details about the deceased victims, but said police interviewed the injured men, according to the newspaper.

Code Associated With Russia Hacking Found On Vermont Utility Computer

On Thursday, President Barack Obama ordered the expulsion of 35 Russian suspected spies and imposed sanctions on two Russian intelligence agencies over their involvement in hacking U.S. political groups in the 2016 presidential election.

The statement came after a Washington Post report that Russian hackers penetrated a Vermont utility.
Government and utility industry officials regularly monitor the nation's electrical grid because it is highly computerized and any disruptions can have disastrous implications for the functioning of medical and emergency services, the Post said.

A senior Obama administration official said the administration had sought in its sanctions announcement on Thursday to alert "all network defenders" in the United States so they could "defend against Russian malicious cyber activity."

The Department of Homeland Security did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
"This intrusion by itself was a minor incident that caused no damage," a U.S. intelligence official familiar with the incident and critical of Russian actions said on Friday night.

"However, we are taking it seriously because it has been tracked to familiar entities involved in a much broader and government-directed campaign in cyberspace and because the electric grid is a vulnerable and interconnected part of the nation's critical infrastructure," the official said.

Russia is widely considered responsible by U.S. officials and private-sector security experts for a December 2015 hack of Ukraine's power grid that knocked out the lights for about 250,000 people. That hack prompted National Security Agency chief Mike Rogers to say at a conference in March that it was a "matter of when, not if" a cyber adversary carried out a similar attack against the United States.

Ronda Rousey knocked out in 48 seconds at UFC 207

Amanda Nunes finished off Ronda Rousey in just 48 seconds on Friday.
Rousey hit hard, but her striking defense was never great and so she had problems when facing elite strikers like Nunes and Holm.If the loss prompts Rousey to retire, as expected, it will be the end of an incredible run.

UFC president Dana White had famously said he would never allow women to fight in the UFC, but after seeing Rousey, he changed his mind. She sold out arenas all over the world and sold pay-per-views at an astonishingly high rate. She won her first six UFC fights and it looked like no one could compete with her. But Holm, a former world boxing champion, showed the blueprint last year at UFC 193. Holm moved smartly and countered Rousey before ending the fight with a kick to the head.On Friday, it wasn’t so subtle.

Nunes was eager to trade with Rousey, whose head never moved off the center line as she was getting blasted by hard shots. Nunes was in the middle of a multi-punch combination when referee Herb Dean stepped in to save Rousey from further punishment.
