The Ghana football Association has confirmed the Black Stars will play Congo Brazzaville in an international friendly on September 1.
Coach Avram Grant and his charges are expected to take on their central African counterparts in a friendly game to commission a newly constructed stadium in the Congolese capital (Brazzaville).
“The Black Stars will play a friendly against Congo in Brazzaville on September 1,” the FA tweeted.
The game will further serve as a warm up exercise for the Black Stars ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda on September 5.
Ghanasportsonline.com’s checks has revealed that all 24 invited players are expected to meet in Brazzaville for the game before leaving to take on Rwanda in the crucial Cup of Nations qualifier at the Amehuro Stadium in Kigali four days later.
Ghana will be hoping to continue an impressive start in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after thumping Mauritius 7-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
