The 24 years-old from Memphis, Tennessee - Derrick Kingston, posted on his Instagram a pic of his "Woman Crush Wednesday," a popular hashtag #WCW, which trends every Wednesday on social media. Little did he know that night would prove fatal!
After Kingston was in bed his girlfriend, 21 year-old Nikki Mendoza, who lived with him and who was known to be "always jealous," stabbed him to death. Friends said they were shocked because the couple at the time didn't seem to have "major relationship issues" and were very happy together.
According to authorities when police got to the couple's home. Kingston was dead and lying in a pool of blood. His iPhone was in his hand and the Instagram app was still opened.
Kyle Ferguson mentioned, "I was texting my boy Derrick when he sent me the iMessage of the girl he was going to post on his Instagram as his Woman Crush Wednesday, it was a chick he DM'd frequently and got nudes from, but she didn't even live in our state. I can't understand why his girl would kill him over a picture he posted on his Instagram."
At the crime scene the police ask Mendoza to clean up and get dressed before they took her into custody. They reported that she appeared to show no remorse saying, "Derrick should've kept his eyes on me only, since he couldn't keep his eyes to himself I closed them permanently."
